Empowering teachers as digital lifelong learners in school
Challenge 1 – SWOT Analysis of Microsoft Teams
For this task, I selected Microsoft Teams because it is the main platform I use in my teaching practice to collaborate with colleagues and to hold online lessons for students who are on extended sick leave.
The attached SWOT analysis identifies the platform’s strengths such as integration with other Microsoft tools and secure communication, as well as weaknesses such as complexity for beginners. It also highlights opportunities like providing training for staff, and threats including security risks caused by improper logout practices.Challenge 2 – Microsoft Teams Tutorial (Infographic)
To support my colleagues in effectively using Microsoft Teams, I created a visual infographic tutorial that covers five key aspects:
The main reasons to use Microsoft Teams for teacher collaboration
How to access it securely
Basic collaborative features
How to log out safely
A reflection on how the platform supports professional communication and coordination
This tutorial aims to provide a clear and quick guide for teachers who may be unfamiliar with the platform, helping to unify our digital communication efforts.
Challenge 3 – Protocol for Positive Online Collaboration (Mind Map)
In this task, I created a mind map with five basic rules to promote respectful and effective online communication among teachers working on a collaborative project.
The rules are focused on mutual respect, clarity, and responsibility in digital interaction. They aim to foster a positive working environment by encouraging constructive feedback, avoiding misunderstandings, and handling conflicts privately.
The mind map is designed to be easy to understand and accessible for all team members.
Challenge 4 – Safe Use of Digital Technologies (Poster/Comic Strip)
For this challenge, I created a poster with a comic strip that explains three basic rules for the safe use of digital technologies in a school environment.
The rules are:
Always log out after using a shared device
Never share your passwords
Use strong passwords and enable two-factor authentication
These rules are presented in a visual storytelling format to help colleagues understand the importance of digital safety. The comic strip highlights real-life scenarios and simple steps to prevent unauthorized access and protect personal data.
